Why Was Anselhill Academy Established?

Our Story

Anselhill Academy was founded from a passion for education, innovation, and impactful learning.

At Anselhill Academy, our journey began with a commitment to providing exceptional educational experiences. The founding team recognized early on that the traditional approach to education often overlooks the unique learning needs of each student. Our dedication to simplifying complex concepts and creating engaging learning experiences quickly became central to our mission.

After four years of collective teaching and tutoring experience, working alongside colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds, we began to recognize the challenges students faced in Math, English, and Science. Through these experiences, we identified several key gaps in the education system:

Students learn differently, yet most tutoring centers and resources continue to adopt a one-size-fits-all approach.
High-quality learning resources were scarce online, leaving tutors without the best tools to support students, and making it difficult for students to study effectively outside of lessons.
Home learners lacked structure and engagement, often missing out on the immersive experience of curriculum-based tuition that traditional classroom settings provide.

These insights led to the creation of Anselhill Academy—a platform designed to provide both students and tutors with structured, high-quality educational resources. Our goal is to ensure that home learners receive the same engaging, impactful learning experience as those attending physical schools or tuition centers, empowering them to succeed academically and personally.

He takes the time to break down each sentence and explain what it means, which has really improved her confidence. One thing I really appreciate is that you can always approach him if your child is struggling with a particular concept. He will make sure to go over it in the next session. He also assesses the children every three months and provides helpful feedback. After every lesson, he updates parents on what topic was taught and how well the child performed. He also gives homework based on the topic taught, which helps the child get a good grip on the subject and gives them the practice they need. For maths especially, the extra practice really makes a difference. Before joining, my daughter was always dependent on me to complete her work, but now she does her work by herself. This improvement has made a big difference in her learning. I’m very happy with the support my daughter has received from AnselHill Academy.

Mr Jesse was incredible at taking into account the individual student’s needs, and working hard to accommodate them and provide the best learning experience. He was encouraging and knowledgeable as well as being flexible and adaptable.
